Zara June Williams is a Gadigal/Sydney-based artist working between collage and painting. Drawing from a personal archive of both found and made materials, her practice explores memory, time, and the cyclical nature of matter through the repurposing of accumulated fragments. Her work considers the fragmentary and non-linear nature of perception and lived experience, where images and materials carry traces of multiple temporalities at once.

Zara June Williams completed a Master of Fine Arts at the National Art School in 2018. She was granted the Lift Off Award upon graduation, enabling her to relocate to Germany, where she resided until 2021. She was a resident artist at Pilotenkueche in Leipzig in 2019 and at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2022. She has since participated in numerous exhibitions both in Sydney and abroad.
