Zara June Williams’ (b. 1990) is a Gadigal/Sydney based artist whose practice explores states of order and disorder embodied in thought, feeling, and action. Her works stem from a nonlinear and playful approach to painting and collage, by which she considers the cyclicality of all things, psychological, behavioral, physical, spiritual and celestial. Through recurrent destruction and renewal, acts of care, chance, failure, and contradiction, she considers the fragmentary nature of experience and feelings of existential uncertainty.

Zara June Williams completed a Master of Fine Arts at the National Art School in 2018. She was granted the Lift Off Award upon graduation, enabling her to relocate to Germany, where she resided until 2021. She was a resident artist at Pilotenkueche in Leipzig in 2019 and at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2022. She has since participated in numerous exhibitions both in Sydney and abroad.
